NEWS Date 22 April 2007 8 Springhead Harriers complete the London Marathon On what was surely the hottest day in April ever, 8 Springhead Harriers made it round the 26.2 mile course. I have to say, I was only a spectator this year, but man was it hard work!. Not only did I burn my shoulders, I had to walk most of the course in my flip flops because the Docklands Light Railway was out of action. So I ended up with hurrendous blisters and triggered off an old injury from walking at high speed in uncomfortable shoes! And if that wasn't bad enough, then had a 4 and a half hour train journey home because Kings Cross was closed for the day and had to go via Timbucktu. But is wasn't all bad news; I did manage to spot Denise Olds at 6 miles and frightened the life out of Colin and Karen at 17 miles. Karen looked like she could have carried on running forever. I was sorry not to have seen Jim in his tartan tights. And for all you looking for inspiration, Cath completed her 18th London Marathon - now there's a challenge for you. Congratulations to you all and here's the results.
